From Thursday August the 1st to Monday August the 5th 2019
The Taste street market in Maglie, in the province of Lecce, is going to take place in August from the 1st to the 5th in the historical centre of this typical village in Salento.
Dinners, laboratories and guided tastings, music concerts, showcases, dance shows, book presentations, entertainment for the little ones and around 100 companies involved, chefs cooking their specialties and thousands of tourists coming from all over the region and Italy: every year, for 5 days, Puglia displays its identity, the perfect integration with other cultures, biodiversity and quality.
The Mercatino del Gusto of Maglie in the recent years played a precious role in promoting in an innovative and authentic way wine, food, agricultural, environmental and touristic heritage and has been an important observatory on the wine-and-food culture of Puglia.
The event in Maglie stands up among the several summer initiatives for the attention to the contents and to the message to promote: it highlights the territory, avoiding the homologation and the standardization of the products.
The event will be, like every year, a true experience of the senses for all the lovers of good food, the curious ones and the tourists from all over the world.
Organized by the homonymous association with the support of the Region of Puglia, the Municipality of Maglie and several private and public partners, the exhibition, from few years, is investing in a more sustainable future for the environment with “Ecofesta Puglia”, a certification that aims to reduce the environmental impact of the events.
